Tyldesley is a town in the east of the borough, between Atherton and Astley, on the route of the Leigh Guided Busway into Manchester. The old railway line, the Tyldesley Loopline, is now a footpath and a popular place to walk dogs.
Tyldesley has a licensed boarding kennel on farmland on the edge of town, a doggy day care, and a home boarder in the M29 area. Astley has two more kennels a few minutes away, and Atherton and Mosley Common are close by too.
